Vulcan promotes opportunities for young people at the Job Fair

With the aim of boosting job opportunities for young people, Vulcan, at the invitation of the Secretary of State for Youth and Employment, participated on the 28th of April, in the Employment Fair, in the district of Cahora Bassa, Songo.

This was an event that had the participation of more than 600 young people, in addition to the presence of the President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, who on the occasion visited the Vulcan stand and learned about the number of own and third-party staff existing in the our company, as well as on the absorption of local labor.

In a moment of interaction with Filipe Nyusi, Vulcan’s Human Resources Manager, Cláudia Manhiça, explained to the President about the number of employees in the group and the hiring of the current year.

“This year we have already employed more than 50 workers, and the company as a whole has around 6,000 employees and 11,000 outsourced workers”, he said. And he added, “Likewise, we have already hired 31 new interns from various locations, most notably Tete”, explained Manhiça.

Remember that, in 2022, the group created around 300 jobs ̶ vacancies occupied mostly by young people.
