Mão Amiga Project organizes Solidarity Christmas for underprivileged children and elderly people in Tete
Following the internal collection of non-perishable food products, school supplies, toys, clothes and other items, Vulcan held a Solidarity Christmas last Friday, December 1, at the Mundo dos Mais Pequenos orphanage, where it handed over the goods collected to the representatives of the five institutions that take in vulnerable children and the elderly in Tete.
As well as handing over the goods collected, which will benefit more than 300 children and elderly people to celebrate Christmas in a dignified manner, because we were celebrating, we also had some moments of laughter with entertainers, dancing and lots of games with the children.
During the event, Anoop Kumar, General Manager of HR and Administration, reinforced Vulcan’s desire to continue taking care of the children by saying: “we will continue to focus on the happiness of each child and contribute so that they can have the opportunity to have a job in the future”, and went on to say: “focus on your studies, on your health and Vulcan will continue to take care of your needs, because we as a company have a long-term vision for all of you”, concluded Kumar.
At the end, João Dias, representing the institutions supported by the Mão Amiga Project, thanked our company for its support and said he was happy to know that this support would continue. “Everything we’ve asked for as part of this project, we’ve achieved. We’re happy! Thank you for providing this moment for our children,” he said.
Remember that the Friendly Hand Project is an initiative of our Chairman, Mr. Naveen Jindal, which aims to promote the health and well-being of vulnerable people, through social and health actions that can contribute to improving the conditions and quality of life in orphanages and old age support centers.
