For the second year in a row: We are the largest company in Mozambique

Thanks to the joint effort of all workers at the Mine, Railway and Port, Vulcan was recently distinguished, for the second consecutive time, as the largest company in Mozambique, in the XXV Edition of the ranking of the 100 Largest Companies in Mozambique – 2023, through a study carried out and published by the prestigious consultancy KPMG Mozambique, referring to the 2022 financial year.

And we didn’t stop there! Likewise, our company was highlighted, in the same study, relatively in the industry sector. With a total turnover of 145.628 million meticais, we have consolidated ourselves in the first position in this sector, leaving companies such as Mozal, HCB, CDM and SASOL behind.

This research is the most prestigious in terms of the Mozambican economic and financial panorama, and has been published regularly for 24 years. In this edition, more than 213 companies participated, of which the 100 largest emerged, with Vulcan reaching first place.

Growing together with the Mambas: Vulcan is an official sponsor of the National Football Team

Under the inspiring slogan "Together to grow with the Mambas", Vulcan and the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) initialled a historic sponsorship agreement last Wednesday, 30 April, aimed at strengthening and promoting the development of football in the country. The signing ceremony, held at Campo 25 de Setembro in Moatize, marked the start of a visionary partnership between the two entities, with the main aim of supporting the National AA Football Team - "Mambas".

Vulcan Fair showcases projects that make a difference in the lives of communities

Under the motto: “Leveraging the development of the communities of Moatize”, Vulcan held on the 6th of April, the 4th Edition of the Vulcan Fair, which focused on the launch of new social projects (exhibition of the initiatives that are taking place for the benefit of communities and delivery of school desks), in Moatize.

Vulcan delivers school desks in Moatize

Vulcan delivered, on March 15th, more than 80 school desks to the district government of Moatize, which were distributed to Escola Primária Oitavadas and Escola Básica da Liberdade. This symbolic delivery of school furniture also served to officially launch a project that aims to rehabilitate and deliver new desks to several schools in Moatize.
