Vulcan promotes debate on strategic initiatives for the development of local content at the 9th Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference – MMEC
During the event, Gupta defended the promotion of strategic initiatives for the development of local content, presented Vulcan’s portfolio of social responsibility programs, and explained to the other participants how our company managed the social legacy of the previous management of the enterprise through an empathetic and close approach to the communities where we operate.
It should be noted that the meeting was attended by more than 300 participants, 50 speakers, 50 exhibitors, 20 countries, and a discussion panel was set up comprising some figures such as: António Cumbane, Coordinator of the Local Content Group of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy of the Republic of Mozambique, Natália Camba, Director of Promotion and Development of the Business Sector, National Petroleum Institute (INP), Ovídio Rodolfo, Vice President and General Manager of Sasol Mozambique, Director of Vulcan Mozambique, Eng.o Reinaldo Gonçalves Jr., President of the Associação Geológica Mineira de Moçambique (AGMM) and Sean Gilbertson, Executive Director of GemFields (virtual participation).
MMEC is a reputable platform that brings together diverse stakeholders in the energy, mining, oil and gas industry in Mozambique and across the Southern African sub-region.
