Vulcan organizes fair to promote local potential

Vulcan recently held the second edition of the Vulcan Fair, at the 25 de Setembro Sports Centre. This was a moment created to allow “small” entrepreneurs to expose and sell their products and services, and also deliver 250 self-employment kits to young people recently graduated from the Labor Market Preparation Program (PPMT) from Moatize and Cateme.

During the event, Leonardo Xerinda, representing Vulcan, stated that this type of initiative contributes to the insertion of young people in social life and reaffirmed Vulcan’s commitment to continue to develop actions of this nature in the communities.

“We will continue to have a positive impact through various social responsibility actions focused on training young people”, said Xerinda and added, “we hope that these young people, through this initiative, can make a valuable contribution to the growth of Moatize”, he concluded.

The Moatize district administrator, Eugénio Muchanga, appealed to the young beneficiaries to use the self-employment kits to reduce the lack of employment.

“We don’t want to see these kits on the market. We are going to value this joint effort with a view to reducing unemployment in the district and in the country”, appealed Muchanga.

Self-employment kits are made up of new tools such as: measuring tape, hammers, nose shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills, ladders, vacuum pumps, brushes, among others, to be used in the areas of Civil Construction, Mechanics, Plumbing, Mechanics-Auto, Electricity-Auto and Refrigeration.
