For the second year running: We are the Largest Exporter for Major Projects for 2022

On August 28, during the opening of the 58th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM), in Ricatla, Marracuene district, Vulcan was distinguished, for the second year running, as the Largest Exporter for Major Projects for the year 2022.

At an event attended by more than 3,000 exhibitors (national and international), Vulcan was duly represented by several employees and leaders, and it was up to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sanjeev Gupta, to receive the award from the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.

To talk about the significance of this distinction, for the second time, we spoke to Marcelo Tertuliano, Vulcan’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who said the following:

“This recognition means that Vulcan plays a very important role within Mozambique’s economy, through the export of coal. At the same time, it is also the result of the competence of our teams, who seek to overcome challenges with an awareness of their role inside and outside the company,” said Tertuliano.

The fair ran until September 2 and, as last year, Vulcan had an integrated stand with Nacala Logistics, where it showcased the two components of its business (mining and logistics).
