Vulcan is reinforcing public security by delivering vehicles to the police force in Tete
On 18 July, Vulcan delivered vehicles to the Polícia da República de Moçambique (PRM), at a ceremony held in the city of Tete and led by the Minister of the Interior, Paulo Chachine.
In total, there are two ‘Mahindra’ vehicles, zero kilometres, fully equipped and characterised, designed to strengthen the corporation’s operational capacity, especially in public patrols. The aim is to contribute to more effective action in maintaining public order and tranquillity in the communities.

During the ceremony, Interior Minister Paulo Chachine expressed his gratitude to Vulcan for the donation, emphasising its relevance in such a challenging context.
“These resources will replace the vehicles that were vandalised during the post-election protests. The institution was already operating with fewer vehicles than it needed. We hope that Vulcan’s gesture will inspire other large companies operating in Tete”, said Chachine.
For his part, Vulcan’s Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.), Dr. Mukesh Kumar, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the well-being of communities and sustainable development.
“We will remain committed to the well-being and safety of the communities where we operate. This is a step within a broader commitment to the sustainable development of the country,” said Kumar.
In addition to the vehicles, Vulcan also delivered reflective vests to the Traffic Police, reinforcing its commitment to the continuous improvement of the working conditions of the police forces.
