Vulcan delivers more than 60 means of transport in Moatize and launches project to support community participation

On September , Vulcan launched the Community Participation Support Project, with the delivery of 61 means of transport, including eleven motorbikes and fifty bicycles, to strengthen the mobility of local leaders in the municipality’s eight neighbourhoods. The aim is to ensure greater efficiency in meeting the needs of residents and to make it easier for community authorities to travel.
During the event, Anoop Kumar, Vulcan’s Administration and Social Affairs Manager, emphasised the company’s commitment to continuing to support the community:
‘Vulcan is committed to improving the living conditions of the population of Moatize, investing in fundamental areas such as access to drinking water, health and other projects within the scope of our social responsibility plan,’ said Kumar.
The Mayor of Moatize City, Carlos Portimão, was also present and expressed his gratitude:
‘These new means of transport will be of great use to the Heads of Localities, Neighbourhood Secretaries and their teams, as well as those responsible for the administrative units. They will make a significant contribution to travelling and managing the communities. It’s important to note that the vehicles will not be for personal use, but will be used collectively by the city’s eight neighbourhoods.’
In addition to the vehicles, Vulcan reinforced its commitment to local development by delivering sports equipment to various clubs in the city, promoting the well-being and social development of the community.
With this initiative, Vulcan Mozambique demonstrates its ongoing commitment to social responsibility projects that directly impact the quality of life of the citizens of Moatize.
