With the full support of Vulcan, the delegation representing the province of Tete at the 16th National School Sports Festival, which will take place in Inhambane between 29 August and 6 September 2026, set off last Tuesday, 25 August, from the city of Tete, bound for Inhambane.
Comprising 205 members, 130 of whom are young athletes, the delegation was sponsored by Vulcan, which covered the costs of transport, a full set of sports equipment, meals, and other logistical expenses. In addition, our company arranged for an escort from the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), ensuring that the delegation travelled safely to that part of the country.
At the farewell event, Vulcan’s representative, António Mucobo, addressed the drivers, emphasizing the company’s unwavering commitment to road safety.
“At Vulcan, we put safety first and ask that you do exactly the same. You are transporting human lives and our brand’s image, so whatever happens on the road will be associated with us,” emphasized António Mucobo, wishing all the athletes every success.
Through this initiative, Vulcan reaffirms its commitment to creating the ideal conditions for the young people of Tete to shine at the country’s biggest school sports event, promoting discipline, local talent, and the development of values through sport.
