The community of Cateme-Sede, in the district of Moatize, is experiencing a new chapter in its history with the arrival of electricity from the national grid, the result of an investment by Vulcan, which has built a sustainable electrification system for the town.
Last Friday, 13th June, Vulcan launched a new cycle of technical and vocational training, with an investment of more than 24 million meticais, benefiting 500 young people from urban neighbourhoods and rural communities in Moatize. The initiative is part of the company's commitment to the social and economic development of the communities where it operates.
Vulcan was distinguished as Mozambique's Best Mining Company during the 11th edition of the Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference (MMEC 2025), held on 7 and 8 May under the slogan ‘Transforming Mozambique's natural resources to drive industrialisation and regional integration.’
